PGZ War Shipyard in Gdynia signed a contract with the War Port Command in Świnoujście for a comprehensive renovation of 2 trawlers: ORP squad and ORP Wigry. This contract is simply a continuation of cooperation after erstwhile repairs of the ORP Mamry and ORP Necko. Both units will undergo both average and dock repairs, which includes a wide scope of modernisation work.

Advanced modernization of ORP Wigry (644): engine replacement and fresh ship power plant

Work on the ORP Wigry will be more extensive. The scope of modernisation includes the replacement of main engines and gears, as well as of the full ship power plant, including power generators, main switchboards and ship automation. Project 207 trawlers: irreplaceable in mine operations
