On 11 June, the Nowy Port territory Council submitted a letter to the president of Gdańsk, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, asking for an extraordinary session. It has been 2 days since the deadline for replying, and there is no consequence on our email box. Even the avisa didn't make it. This situation reminds us of the iconic scene from the movie “Miś” – “We don’t have your coat and what will you do to us?” wrote the fresh Port territory Council on social media.
A year ago, in June 2023, an extraordinary session became a large media and political show. Let us callback these moments: the fiery speeches from the speaker, the shifting of political arguments and the calling for a large protest that yet failed.
Parliamentarians specified as Małgorzata Chmiel, Piotr Adamowicz and Jerzy Borovczak were present in the gathering room, which gave the event additional importance.
New Port territory Council: let's get back to the debate
At the time it was accused that the board of the Port of Gdańsk did not appear, nor did it send anyone out despite the invitation. It would now seem that attending specified a session should not be a problem. Therefore, we decided to submit our letter on the first anniversary of that event.
We wanted to find out what actions have been taken over the last year, whether the Prime Minister has been contacted, whether there have been further notifications to the prosecution, and what has changed. We expected an honest answer – whether it's good news or simply admitting that small has changed.

If so, it's a shame there's no 1 to say it directly.

Although the deadline for consequence has already passed, the Council hopes that, at least after this entry in the social media, there will be a reaction.

– emphasises the Council.Can we have answers? Time will tell. But 1 thing is certain – we will not halt fighting for matters crucial to our community. We hope that, together with the locals and the media, we can get answers to our questions.
