New! Jan Kosiedowski died – architect of many investments in Pomerania

In fresh years Jan Kosiedowski, as president of the Office of Municipal Construction Projects, played a key function in the improvement and modernisation of the road infrastructure of Pomerania. Under his supervision, many crucial investments were created, including the Slovak Route, Rakoczych, the tram way to Moren, the monument of the Gdynia Exile. Unfortunately, we said good-bye to the engineer who deserved Pomerania.

Jan Kosiedowski was not only a valued official, roadman, engineer and designer. He was primarily a man of large heart, who was always willing to aid others and share his knowledge. His commitment and dedication to the community were boundless.

"Jan Kosiedowski, was a blood and bone engineer, always active in projects implemented in Gdynia. The leader of major investments, specified as the reconstruction of the St Maximilian Hill road junction and the connection under SKM tracks to the Gdynia Road. Was he a heartless technocrat? Not at all! Born in Gdynia, he understood perfectly the thought of commemorating the war past of the inhabitants of our city. It was His office that made the method documentation of the monument of Gdynia Displaced, standing confluence of Starowiejska and Dworcowa streets.”

Jan Kosiedowski's departure left a large vacuum in our community, which cannot be filled. His legacy will proceed and inspire further generations to work for the common good.

Jan Kosiedowski will be remembered not only as a prominent engineer, but besides as a man who has entered Gdynia's past forever with his work and dedication. His projects will remind of his commitment and passion for many years, inspiring subsequent generations to work for the community.
