Today, June 12, the ceremony of 21-year-old Sergeant Mateusz Sitka, who died on June 6 as a consequence of wounds sustained during the defence of the Polish border against migrants storming it from Belarus. The tragic event took place at the end of May in the area of Dubicz Cerkiewne in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.

Matthew Sitek died a hero's death, defending the border of his country. Therefore, radio signals from police cars and Border defender cars will be activated at noon throughout the country. As stated in the communication on social media: "to teach the memory of the soldier who made the highest sacrifice in defence of the Polish border".
