– Mr Kosiniak-Kamysz says very different things in very different ways, he tries to make it gentle, good and nice, but he never keeps those words," says Antoni Macierewicz. The erstwhile head of the MON thus referred to the words of Władysław Kosiniak-Kamisha. The current Minister of the MON, Deputy Prime Minister, announced that he expected the return of the boards representing the captain Witold Pilecki, father of Maximilian Maria Kolbe and the Ulm family.

On Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of National Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, announced that he was looking forward to the return of the boards representing Captain Witold Pilecki, Father Maximilian Maria Kolbego and the Ulmów household for permanent exhibition at the Museum of planet War II in Gdańsk. As he noted: "For us these are heroes who unite Poles".

However, Antoni Macierewicz, erstwhile head of the MON, expressed serious doubts about the sincerity of these announcements. In his opinion, the current activities of the Ministry of Defence are simply empty words aimed at calming the public, without real action to reconstruct the memory of these key figures.

The words of Macerevich

Macierewicz powerfully criticized the activities of the current management of the museum after removing the permanent Polish heroes from the exhibition.

An effort to destruct them, an effort to destruct those who fought for Polish independence, who won Polish independence, thanks to which we have Polish independence, is an effort to destruct independence. He is an effort to destruct the independency of our formation. This is simply a conscious anti-Polish action. This is simply a conscious action to destruct the nation and the Polish state.

– said Antoni Macerewicz.

Macierewicz besides pointed out that Kosiniak-Kamish frequently speaks in a way that is to be gentle and kind, but his words seldom translate into concrete actions:

Mr Kosiniak-Kamish says very different things in very different ways, he tries to make it gentle, good and nice, but he never keeps those words. He never keeps those words. Works against the Polish Army, works against the nation, works against independence

– adds Macreivcz.

Controversy around the planet War II Museum

The removal from the main exhibition of the Museum of the Second planet War in Gdańsk of figures specified as Captain Witold Pilecki, father Maximilian Kolbe and the Ulmów household caused a wave of outrage among Poles who value historical fact and memory of national heroes. These actions are seen as an effort to distort past and marginalize key figures that symbolize heroism and dedication.

Petition and social opposition

In consequence to these controversies, the portal wujamszpile.pl initiated the petition, demanding the immediate restoration of these heroes to a permanent museum exposition. This petition, addressed to the planet War II Museum Directorate, the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, gained broad public support.
