Attention, there's a veteran helmet to get

On the Facebook profile of the Association of Wounded and Damaged in Missions outside the Country Borders, an online auction of a motorcycle helmet decorated with aerial motifs is already underway. The military art was performed by fireman Marek Szatkowski. Anyone who is of age and wants to aid veterans can participate in the auction.

– I am happy to participate in various initiatives that aim to support veterans," says Aspirant Marek Szatkowski, who serves as a firefighter in the State Fire Department in Lesk. He is besides the founder of ArtGarage art painting studio, and his passion is to paint military and patriotic motifs on helmets, motorcycles and murals. For respective years, decorated with military graphics, motorcycle helmets transmits the Centre of Veteran Activities outside the State Borders. They run into auctions, and the funds collected in this way fund the accounts of organizations working for soldiers and veterans. Last year, a beneficiary Veteran helmet program was the Alliance Foundation with GROM, this year – Association of the injured and injured in Missions outside the Country Borders. “The amount collected from the auction will support our members,” says Tomasz Kloc, president of the Association.

During the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz transferred a motorcycle helmet with military graphics to the Association of the injured and injured in Missions outside the Borders of the Country. Biding this gadget began in late July on the Association's Facebook profile. It is supervised by Tomasz Zdziarski, Vice president of the Association. The starting price is PLN 1,000, and the minimum rise is PLN 100. – So far, respective people participate in the bidding. late the metre indicated PLN 3.5 1000 – says the veteran.

– We encourage you to participate in the bidding, which will last until the end of September. Each gold will aid us to recover," says president Tomasz Kloc. He besides calls on the Association's members and sympathizers to make auctions available on their social profiles so that information about it can scope the widest possible range. The funds thus collected will be utilized for the statutory purposes of the Association, including the acquisition of rehabilitation equipment for victims of military missions.

This year the helmet was decorated with aerial motifs. – The background of the helmet is gray, due to the fact that specified camouflages have fighters – explains the aspirant Marek Szatkowski. On this grey, the artist painted a white-red chessboard, which has been the authoritative marking of Polish military aircraft for 106 years. Next to the board there are numbers: 29.05.2024 – this this year's Veteran Day celebrations outside the state borders. On the back of the helmet, you can see a scratched white-red flag that symbolizes the wounds soldiers sustained on abroad missions, and the words “respect” and “Support” written on the sides remind us how we should treat veterans.

– I already have graphic ideas for the next fewer years. I would like to honor, among another things, bomb squads – says Marek Szatkowski. He assures that as long as a veteran motorcycle rally is organized, he will paint further helmets. It thus shows that the services – in this case firemen and soldiers – can support each other.

The thought behind the Veteran Helmet is the Veteran Centre for Activities outside the State Borders, and the partner of this year's edition of the Military method Academy, which founded this gadget.
