Not just Merkavas. Half-century-old APCs are fighting in Israel

Although they are more than half a century old, and the Israeli Self-Defense Forces have already developed much more modern designs, the M113 armored personnel carriers stay the primary means of transport for Israeli mechanized infantry. It is possible that any of the vehicles that are presently fighting against Hamas besides participated in the Yom Kippur War precisely half a century ago.
