The contract is simply a continuation of erstwhile purchases and is intended to let the replacement of old combat vests and transportation systems: M07 (ballistic vest) and M10 (modal dressing vest). The fresh framework agreement is worth 1.5 billion kroner (NOK) and is due to apply from February 2026 to 2031, with an option to extend for another 5 years. This way of contracting supplies of M22 vests on the 1 hand ensures long-term predictability of orders for the maker and on the another hand for armed forces the continuity of supplies of modern equipment.
