Norway warns against Russian sabotage

In an yearly threat assessment study published on Friday, the Norwegian safety Service (PST) indicated that increased activity of Russian intelligence operations, focusing on military ally installations and military exercises, Norway's support for Ukraine, as well as activities in the Arctic and the North Atlantic, was expected in 2026. The study stresses that Russian intelligence services may effort to recruit Ukrainian refugees residing in Norway, especially those with families or property in areas occupied by Russia. There are presently around 100,000 Ukrainian refugees in Norway, which, according to PST, poses a serious problem for national security.
