NOT for EU surveillance! Sign the petition!
date:07 October 2024 Editor: Anna

The European Union wants to check all your private messages, scan files – WhatsApp, Telegram, emails, cloud retention files – virtually everything. This scandalous task is called chat control in search of “suspicious content”. If the European Commission can push through this proposal, all messages and files sent will be automatically scanned. To this end, a central surveillance office in the European Union is planned.
The Council of the European Union will discuss this issue on 9 and 10 October.
Privacy may already be in the past.
This is the first step towards full Union surveillance. We gotta halt this as shortly as possible.

The European Commission claims that it wants to prevent the spread of kid pornography, which is officially to justify the introduction of chat control. Although the fight against this phenomenon is understandable, monitoring all private messages without prior suspicion and a court order constitutes a serious breach of citizens' privacy. In practice, this would mean abolishing telecommunications secrecy and encrypting messages could cease to exist.

We can inactive halt this, but time is moving out. EU Home Affairs and Justice Ministers will meet on 9 and 10 October, and 1 of the gathering points will be chat control. This is simply a decisive minute in which we can prevent the creation of an EU full surveillance system.

Therefore, sign our petition against this task today. Call on the Home Minister, the Minister of Justice and MEPs to reject the proposal to introduce chat control.

In practice, surveillance would operate as follows: email providers and intelligence services would be forced to scan all message, all photograph and file utilizing specialized software. Anything the strategy finds suspicious would automatically go to the police. due to the fact that the pretext is to fight kid pornography, any photograph of the child, even made available to the immediate family, could be considered suspicious and subject to control. specified a scale of surveillance threatens to seriously violate the privacy of innocent citizens.

The service is besides to prosecute offenders contacting children, meaning that any message from an adult to a kid could be considered suspicious. Even innocent birthday wishes sent to a nephew or niece could origin false alarms and at worst lead to police intervention.

Paradoxically, specified chat control would not have a real impact on the main distribution channels of kid pornography, since specified illegal files are seldom sent via email or WhatsApp.

Chat control is more than that: the European Union could extend this surveillance strategy at any time – both officially and secretly. After its introduction, nothing would stand in the way of monitoring another areas specified as organised crime, taxation evasion, illegal employment and much more.

Finally, individual might propose utilizing chat control to “stop misinformation” which would mean that our emails and messages would be searched for content that is not compatible with government or EU narratives. Then we would no longer be able to prevent it. That is why we must act now - we must not let the creation of an EU surveillance agency!

Sign this petition now! We request as many signatures as possible to convince Minister Bodnar and Semoniak and Polish MEPs to reject this scandalous project.

Our current actions will find whether we will live as free people or be subject to continuous surveillance.

But there is hope! Various consultations show that the vast majority of EU citizens argue this proposal. People see threats to mass surveillance and want to defend their privacy

By collecting adequate signatures and making our voices heard, we can send a clear signal to our ministers and Members of the European Parliament. Voting for this proposal may have serious consequences for them, including the failure of mandates and posts.

We have a chance to influence their decision, defend our privacy and prevent the EU from becoming a oppressive state, full of control and surveillance.

If we unite forces and make our voices heard, we can halt chat control and defend our right to free, private communication. However, we are moving out of time – EU Home Affairs and Justice Ministers will meet in a fewer days, 9 and 10 October.

Don't wait, sign this urgent petition right now and defend your privacy online!
This is about our freedom and security. If you want to live as a free man, sign this petition and get out of EU supervision.
