The bill of amendments to the Sejm's Rules of Procedure assumes that the current provisions, which supply for a simplification of one-thirty for each day of unjustified absence, will be tightened.
The amendment introduces a gradual increase in financial penalties with a prolonged absence. If Members have more than 3 absences in a given month, their wage and diet will be reduced by one-fifth for each consecutive day of absence, which could be up to PLN 3.5 thousand. In addition, if the associate does not appear for 18 consecutive days of meetings, his wage will be reduced to 1 tenth and his diet completely removed. In this case, alternatively of PLN 17,7 1000 gross per month, the MP will receive only PLN 1,3 thousand.
