The merger of Orlen and Lotos had no economical justification," said NIK president Marian Banas, presenting the House's study on the matter. The conclusions of the paper were commented by politicians. "It's a very short way to make charges," said Tomasz Trela, MP of the Left. MEP Michał Szczerba "sees NIK's advanced caution", and PiS MP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk believes that "state Treasury property costs as much as the buyer wants to pay".
