On the day of the formal speech of the Republic of Poland from the Ottawa Convention, the Niewiadów Polish Military Group S.A. completed a key phase of preparation for the launch and improvement of large-scale production of anti-personnel mines. This process is carried out by the Companies of the Precision Equipment of the Niewiadów Company.
A detailed analysis of the method documentation of historically manufactured products was carried out in the Niewiadz ZSP and prepared the infrastructure and technological instrumentation essential to reconstruct production. The plants in Niewiadow for decades provided various types of mines for the Armed Forces, which is present a solid competence and documentation base for rebuilding these capabilities.
As part of the preparations, the existing machinery park was adapted, including flood evacuation equipment and explosives ironing. A plan was besides developed to further grow production capacity to accomplish an industrial scale. In parallel, the company secured the supply chain by working with home component manufacturers and partners operating in global cooperation networks.
In cooperation with the Military Institute of Engineering Techniques, anti-personnel mine mimictors have been developed in variants with extraction and force action, which constitute a construction base for fresh combat products. The Company declares its readiness to offer both mines previously produced on the basis of the documentation held and fresh solutions developed on the basis of current operational needs.

The group besides plans to grow its offer to include anti-tank mines, utilizing its technological and documentary competences. The launch of mass production utilizing flood-elaboration technology and ironing of explosives is planned for 2027, with first orders being obtained as early as 2026.

In the opinion of the Management Board of the Company, the launch of mine production will have a crucial impact on the scale of activity and increase in the Group's revenues in subsequent years, strengthening its position in the defence sector.
