A failed coup in Benina. Fighters in action

During the early hours, soldiers of the self-appointed Military Rebuilding Committee (Comité militaire pour la refondation, in short CMR) entered state tv “Benin TV” in Cotonou, where they announced the message: “The army solemnly undertakes to give the Benin nation a real fresh era in which fraternity, justice and work will prevail”. At the time of reading a speech by 1 of the soldiers, the tv signal was interrupted.
