German media: Putin's Poison and the Russians will harass

German media attribute work for the death of Russian oppositionist Alexey Navale to Russian president Vladimir Putin, calling him a poisoner. Frank Nienhuysen in the pages Sueddeutsche Zeitung notes that the authoritative explanations of the origin of death from the outset raised serious doubts.

International findings indicate that Navalny was likely to have been poisoned. Julia Nawalna, wife of a dead oppositionist, reported on the results of laboratory tests as early as autumn. 5 European countries now openly supported her position at the Munich safety Conference, giving clear political dimension to the accusations against Russia.

The German paper stresses that the disclosure of these findings is improbable to translate into real legal consequences for the Russian authorities. Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung describes the case as an example Putin poison and points out that even without fresh evidence, it was clear that Vladimir Putin and his associates were behind Navalny's death.

Reinhard Veser stresses that there is no effective way to halt the Kremlin from acting, but the awareness of this fact should form the approach towards the Russian authorities. It points out that their ruthlessness and criminal determination are a threat to anyone who opposes them and that lasting peace in Europe will only be possible after Putin's government falls.
