"Süddeutsche Zeitung" estimates that US president Donald Trump departs from the current NATO regulation "one for all, all for one". According to the journal, decisions on the deployment of American troops are to be made on the basis of individual sympathy, not strategical reasons, which, as the paper says, makes soldiers treated as a form of political reward.
