Germany strengthens the fleet of light combat helicopters.

According to the portal *Opex360*, the acquisition of H145M was originally to be a temporary solution. The machines were to replace the ageing Tiger EC665 assault helicopters until their successors were developed. However, as the papers of the Ministry of Defence of Germany have revealed, Berlin plans to keep H145M in service in the long term, recognising them as more flexible and economical in operation.
