This week Germany published its first military strategy since planet War II. Presenting the document, German defence minister Boris Pistorius said the government's goal was to make the "strongest conventional army in Europe". The publication of the plan was due to the drastic increase in German defence spending and the drive to recruit more soldiers. "European residents are mostly pleased to see Berlin rebuild its army to defend itself against Russia," Liana Fix wrote earlier this year. "However, they should be careful what they want for." It warns that the increase in German military power can origin the reluctance of its neighbours, yet leaving Europe "divided and destabilised by interior competition". Her arguments may convince you, but it is worth remembering her assumptions about what European leaders will gotta do to accomplish success as this communicative unfolds.

I would just add that Germany is not straight adjacent to Russia. They besides get along well with her in economical matters (and not only).
So the unwillingness of neighbours can be justified and destabilization can be the consequence of the evidence BND budget and unusual foundations.
What does that mean for us? It is time to build an 'eastern wall' in the sense of countries in the east of Europe... There was a time to build the defence manufacture - I don't know if it's getting besides late at the minute but we gotta try. And you can't make an mistake of the Second Republic - you gotta prepare for the attack from 2 sides. A different type, perhaps, than in '39.
