The disclosure of the details of the peace plan negotiated between the US and Russia for Ukraine has caused a wave of concern in Europe. In the opinion of many European commentators and experts, the proposed solutions not only do not warrant lasting peace, but they can be the beginning of a fresh phase of Russian expansion. Europeans must strengthen Ukraine to stay a bastion against Russia. If Ukraine dies, the road to Poland will open up – warns Berthold Kohler in the German paper "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung".
