Vladimir Putin's invitation to the December G20 summit in Miami opens a fresh chapter in Russia's relations with the West. Although the Russian leader has not yet decided whether to accept the invitation, Berlin has already clearly defined its position. Germany points out that due to the war in Ukraine there is presently no place for ‘normal’ relations with Russia.
