Germany: limitation of Ukrainian exile benefits

On 19 November, the German government adopted a draft amendment to the Law on the Adaptation of Social Benefits (Leistungsrechtsanpassungsgesetz) amending the rules for supporting refugees from Ukraine. They arrived in Germany after 1 April 2025, they will receive EUR 441 per individual per month, the same as the another asylum seekers, alternatively of the erstwhile EUR 563, granted as part of the civilian welfare allowance granted to Germany (Bürgergeld).
