Europe should scope for the most powerful sports card and endanger Donald Trump with a football boycott of the Mundial 2026 – Germany argues in Die Zeit. According to the German weekly, this would be a real instrument of force on Greenland.
The "Die Zeit" calls for EU countries to consider this script of the withdrawal of European teams from the mundial already jointly. He argues that while in trade the US has an advantage over Europe that is powerfully linked to them economically, in football the power arrangement is the opposite: the Mundial without France, England or Spain would lose rank and prestige, hitting the image of the tournament's host.
This year's football planet championship is scheduled to take place in Mexico, Canada and the USA by 11 June-19 July.
