The ‘Rzeczpospolita’ states that the amendment entered into force on 8 October. The Bureau of Media Services of the Chancellery of the Sejm explains that the amendment clarifies the ellipse of persons entitled to receive press cards and access cards for the maintenance of journalists.
The diary points out, citing the Bureau, that the rule of issuing these papers only to persons over 18 years of age has been explicitly enshrined in the order rules.
"Youngest Parliamentary reporter"
Unofficially, the paper has determined that the change is due to the activities of 12-year-old Sarah, referred to by the media as “the youngest seismic reporter”. Sara, leading the channel “Sara’s Perspective” on YouTube, spoke to leading Polish politicians, which sparked considerable controversy.
In the media there have been critical articles about her activities, drawing attention, among others, to her absence from school related to her stay in the Sejm, exposing to stressful situations typical of journalistic work, her father's business activity and allegations that the girl is pursuing adult ambitions.
However, the case was not limited to the seismic building, as the controversy besides moved to the Gdańsk simple school that Sara attended.
School accuses parents
The authorities of the institution applied to restrict parental rights for her parents, arguing that the kid is being drawn into politics besides early.
“Gazeta Wyborcza” reported that the parents of her classmates demanded that the girl be transferred to another group, arguing that under the promotion of political content in the classroom, it introduces confusion and divides the school community.
The case is likely to make due to the fact that 12-year-old parents have filed a private indictment against 50 people, including teachers and parents of children in the Sarah class. According to the “Rzeczpospolita” the act of defamation was to sign this letter to the school's curator asking to decision the girl.
Aphasia as an argument
According to “Rzeczpospolita”, the girl’s father explained that his daughter is an aphatic, meaning that her ability to talk was not decently developed, and that her activity in the Sejm was to service as a speech therapist.
Despite this, parents were subjected to a wave of criticism – any commentators accused them of utilizing their daughter to gain on display, pursuing their own ambitions, and writing her questions to politicians, which critics believe takes the authenticity of her journalistic activity.
