U.S. president Donald Trump in a conversation with CBS referred to a Saturday thwarted assassination effort on his life. In sharp words, he assessed the perpetrator as “incompetent” while praising the safety services.
In the 60 Minutes program, Trump referred to allegations of allegedly insufficient safety at the Washington Hilton Hotel. The president rejected these suggestions, referring straight to the manifesto of the attempted assassin who described Secret Service agents as incompetent: “Well, he is incompetent due to the fact that he got caught. And he got caught rather easily," the president of the United States said. Trump pointed out that there were no objections to the work of agents – in his opinion, “they did a large job.” He besides made a proposal to repeat the gala – this time with even better organized protection.
The U.S. president besides referred to the bomber's manifesto in which he was described as a pedophile, rapist and traitor. Trump did not cover the outrage and powerfully stressed that the allegations were unfounded and politically motivated.
