When Jarosław Kaczyński announced in 2011 that “ someday we will have Budapest in Warsaw”, he understood this as a promise. 15 years later Budapest no longer exists – at least not the 1 he meant. On 12 April, Tisza Péter Magyar took power from Viktor Orbán with a constitutional majority. Karol Nawrocki, Donald Tusk, Jarosław Kaczyński, Przemysław Czarnek and Mateusz Morawiecki draw very different conclusions from this.
