There was a tragic accident during the rehearsals before the Air Show in Radom. Major pilot Maciej "Slab" Krakowian died from the 31st Tactical Aviation Base in Poznań-Krzesiny. In 1 of his last interviews, he talked about his work and his passion for flying.


The tragedy occurred on Thursday, August 28. The F-16 multitasking aircraft fell on the board of Radom Airport. During the press conference, which took place a fewer days before the tragedy, Major Krakowian stressed that performances during the Air Show were a large honour for him, that he could represent Polish air force and show the service characteristics from the position of the F-16 cockpit.
