“Not for a Germanizer monument!” - a hot protest in Sopot. Residents block commemoration of a German official

A sharp protest against the unveiling of Paul Puchmüller's monument, a Prussian architect and official, was held in front of the Sopot City Hall today, whose activity fell upon the time of harsh Germanization of Polish lands. The monument costing PLN 350 1000 is ready, it is 5.5 metres tall and only waiting for the installation. Residents, councillors and Members, however, say with 1 voice: “We do not want this at home!”
