The Netherlands plans to retreat six ships in the 1930s. These are units of 2 different classes. 2 are large Rotterdam-type landing vessels launched in 1998, 2009 (HNLMS Rotterdam – 12 250 tonnes of standard buoyancy and HNLMS Johan de Witt – 15 500 tons). 4 more are sea-going Holland-type patrols, units little than 10 years old with a displacement of 3,750 tonnes (HNLS Holland, HNLS Zeeland, HNLS Fiesland, HNLS Groningen, which are present comparatively fresh units introduced to service in 2012-2-13. The desire to retreat specified fresh ships stems from an exacerbating planet situation. Smaller patrols will not be useful to carry out military activities, and fresh universal units will be combative as possible.
