The erstwhile Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean refused to re-take the position of Head of Government despite proposals from the ruling Action and Solidarity organization (PAS) which prevailed in the fresh parliamentary elections.

During the press conference on 13 October, Recean stated that it was an honor for him to receive an offer to proceed moving the government, but did not intend to proceed his political career.

— I didn't plan to stay in politics after my word of office. After resigning, I intend to return to work in the private sector," said the Prime Minister.

Earlier, the talker of the Igor Grosu Parliament reported that PAS wanted to re-nominate Recean as Prime Minister.

— We wanted him to proceed to lead the government, but Mr. Recean informed us that his work in the cabinet of ministers had come to an end — he gave Grosu.

Let us remind that in the parliamentary elections on 28 September, the PAS organization won 55 seats, gaining a stand-alone majority in a 101-member parliament.
