TP-Link introduces 3 fresh Tapo series cameras to the Polish market, extending its offer of home surveillance.
Among the fresh features, the C460 offers 4K imagery and battery power, a rotating C246D camera with dual lens and a basic wireless C400 model.
The company presented devices designed to meet the different needs of users who want to monitor the environment of the home or apartment. All fresh models combine wireless connectivity, intelligent detection functions and the ability to work outdoors, but disagree in key parameters and applications.
Tapo C460: advanced resolution without cables
The most advanced of the presented models is Tapo C460. This is an external battery camera that captures 4K (8 Mpx) resolution. It uses the Starlight converter, which is intended to supply clear and colorful images in low light conditions.
The device is powered by a 10,000 mAh battery, which according to the maker is intended to let up to 200 days on 1 charge. The housing meets IP66 leak standard, and the two-band Wi-Fi is liable for the unchangeable connection. Tapo C460 KIT with Tapo A201 solar panel will besides be available. Then the working time will be even longer.
Tapo C246D and C400: 2 lenses or simplicity
The second fresh feature is simply a rotating Tapo C246D camera, equipped with 2 3 Mpx lenses – wide-angle and telephoto lens. This solution allows at the same time to observe a wide field as well as to approximate more distant details without failure of quality.
In turn, Tapo C400 is simply a proposal for people looking for simple and wireless monitoring. The camera offers Full HD image resolution, and a built-in 5200 mAh battery is expected to last 180 working days. Both models have IP65 leak class housings.
All fresh cameras are equipped with intelligent event detection and classification to reduce the number of false notifications. The recordings can be stored locally on microSD cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB or as part of a paid subscription to TapoCare cloud. The devices besides offer two-way audio communication and are managed from the Tapo application. Recommended retail prices are: approx. 220 PLN for Tapo C400, approx. 270 PLN for Tapo C246D, approx. 480 PLN for Tapo C460 and approx. 530 PLN for the set C460 with solar panel.
