New Russian submarine on the Baltic

In the last 3 decades, the number of Russian submarines belonging to the Baltic Fleet has steadily fallen and yet reached the level of 1 vessel. It is the submarine Dmitrow (487) of task 877 Paltus. It is the oldest classical submarine under the Russian war flag. He was inducted into service on September 25, 1986, inactive in the times of the USSR. After moving to the Baltic Sea for many years, it served to train abroad crews from countries that bought the task 877. In those years, the task was besides named Warszawianka and in NATO Kilo code. The name Warszawianka initially afraid export versions, but it became so popular that present it is widely utilized for older units of task 877 and newer ones, or task 636.
