New president of the PGZ-et

The Supervisory Board of the Polish Armed Forces Group decided that Adam Leszkiewicz, who had been the head of the Azota Group, a state chemical giant, would be the president of the national holding company that brings together the largest state defence companies. The competition for the head of PGZ SA was announced as Krzysztof Trofiniak resigned.

I declare my full commitment to effective implementation of key projects and programmes. besides in the implementation of the thought of improving the functioning of the PGZ, implementing the essential changes and better cooperation with national and abroad partners in the defence industry," wrote the recently elected president in the PGZ-et message. "The challenges are clearly defined and my aim, in addition to the Group's business improvement and the change of the Group's organisation, is to improve relations with key stakeholders and to translate the available financial resources into circumstantial quantities of appropriate weapons. I am counting on cooperation with public and private partners" added Adam Leszkiewicz.

The fresh president comes from Krakow and is simply a postgraduate of the University of Economics and the Pontifical University of John Paul II. From 2007 to 2009, he was Undersecretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and from 2009 to 2011 Deputy Minister of Treasury.
