The wellness Ministry is preparing an amendment to the law that will ban the sale of alcoholic beverages in medical facilities, including spas, starting January 1, 2026. The ministry argues that spas should advance healthy lifestyles. However, the thought is stirring up immense emotions and opposition among patients, businesses and any doctors, especially in the celebrated Ciechocinek. Critics point out that the ban won't solve anything, but will only transfer the problem of alcohol abuse to the rooms of patients.
