Referring to the two-day talks in Geneva concluded on Wednesday, he noted that Ukraine is interested in the result. Mr Zelenski stressed that the key political issues, the question of possible compromises and the essential gathering of leaders were inactive not sufficiently agreed.
The Russian delegation was led by president Vladimir Putin, Vladimir Medinski, American peculiar envoy Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law Donald Trump. Ukraine was represented by Secretary of the National safety and Defence Council Rustem Umierov and president Kyryło Budanov's Head of Office

Ukraine's fragmented position
According to the British The Economist, there is no uniform position in the Ukrainian delegation on the direction of negotiations. Supporters Kyrylo Budanov believe that the most sensible solution would be to adopt American safety guarantees as shortly as possible, and Budanov sees that the time for decision can shortly pass.
The second wing, associated with erstwhile head of law firm Andrija Jermak, who left after a corruption scandal, is much more skeptical. president Volodymyr Zelenski himself seems to balance between different options while taking his own initiatives.
It would be perfect if Ukraine had a permanent agreement, including a tight safety treaty with the US. However, this would require concessions not only from Ukraine but besides from Russia. And that means the real force of America on Russia – force with real consequences. So far, ambiguous signals do not give basis for optimism – says the British Journal.
