President Karol Nawrocki participated in the teleconference of European leaders with president Donald Trump and president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski - informed the President's Chancellery on Sunday evening. The information was confirmed at a press conference after the gathering by Trump himself.
The President's Chancellery informed that during the discussion the state of peace talks was discussed, the aim being to bring Russia's war in Ukraine to an end.
"President Karol Nawrocki stressed president Trump's large commitment to the peace process and thanked for his conversation today. He pointed out that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the Reich-Jasionka airport serves as a hub for over 90% of aid to Ukraine. Hence the position of Poland at the time of signing the peace agreement will be crucial" - was given in the communication.
According to the President's Chancellery, "today's discussion shows that any arrangements for peace and safety in the region must fall among all curious parties".
