On Christmas morning, erstwhile most Poles were preparing for household meetings, president Karol Nawrocki went to Jarylówka on the Polish-Belarusian border. His goal was to meet with soldiers and officers serving there on Christmas. In his speech, intertwined with the wishes of peace, he left no uncertainty – the east flank of NATO is present a place of peculiar tension and danger, and the regular sacrifice of services is the foundation of national security.
