On the eve of the Polish Army Day (15 August), president Karol Nawrocki handed over his appointments for higher general degrees.
Nawrocki gave General nominations
Major General Maciej Klish was appointed to the rank of Lt-Gen, serving as Commander of the Operational Types of Armed Forces.
To the rank of Major General, they were promoted:
Brigadier General Mirosław Polakov, Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Command of the Alliance Forces in Europe (SHAPE), Allied NATO Operations Command (ACO),
Brigadier General Adam Rodzikowski, manager of the Armed Forces Department at the National safety Bureau (he is considered to be the man of Antoni Macierewicz, as 1 of them wrote),
Brigadier General Krzysztof Zielski, Deputy Head of the General Staff of the Polish Army.
The following were appointed as Brigadier General:
Colonel Norbert Chojnacki, commander of 2 Tactical Air Wings,
Colonel Mariusz Kubarek, Deputy manager of the Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defence,
Colonel Mieczysław Malec, Head of the NATO Operations Division and Deputy of the Polish Military typical at the NATO and European Union Military Committees,
Colonel Wacław Samocik, Commander of 2nd Mechanized Brigade.
– It is simply a celebration of all Polish soldier, but besides of our national community, the full Polish nation, who stands present and next day in gratitude to Polish soldiers and Polish officers – he said during the Nawrocka celebration.
– On behalf of Poles and Poles, thank you for our peace and our safety to the generals and all Polish soldiers – he stressed.
– I congratulate the generals very much on the nomination. They are proof of your value to our beloved homeland. You are generals, not only experienced but besides brave. You accept these nominations at a time erstwhile the planet is anxious," the president pointed out.
– Today's event is not only a large honour, but besides another degree of commitment to the Polish people," he added.
On Wednesday, the head of government besides spoke about these nominations. I just signed the General nomination myself. I didn't like them all. On August 15, the president would like to nominate fresh generals, give them honorary badges, general rings, buzzards. From the point of view of Polish officers, this is simply a large holiday," said Donald Tusk.
