The Cabinet Council was held at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday. Karol Nawrocki had to part of Donald Tusk's government ministers a "personal request". And any of the current politicians may have felt at least strange.
Strange request from Nawrocki at the Cabinet Council
– I besides have a individual request for all of you to speak. I know your Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, and any of the Ministers, too. Of course, I know my advisors and my ministers, but I would very much like to ask – we are just getting to know each another – that everyone introduces themselves before taking the level – the president addressed them.
His request was met with a strong comment, among others, from the Euro MP of the Civic Coalition Krzysztof Brejza. "But with this introduction of ministers before the speech, is that so serious? Apart from the substantive preparation and the work to know the constitutional ministers, there is something else specified as kidder art, good upbringing. I mean, it should be," he signed on X.
Wednesday was the first Cabinet Council convened by president Karol Nawrocki. During the assembly, he criticised the activities of the Coalition government on October 15. During the press conference, Donald Tusk again referred to his words.
Statements by Tusk following the Cabinet Council
– From the very beginning, regardless of all political differences, and are visible to the bare eye between me and president Nawrocki and his political camp, we are looking together with president Nawrocki for these common fields of action," said the head of government.
As he pointed out, they concern security, global policy and strategical interests of Poland.
– I expressed this conviction again present that wherever we can build this common space and specified cooperation for Poland, let us treat it as something priceless in Polish politics. We will not bury these differences (between the government and the president-ed.)," he said.
Tusk, however, stressed that he was ready for a "hard confrontation for crucial matters for Poland" and that the government must and will "seek common fields" with the President. During the conference, the Prime Minister reiterated the issue of CPK and inconsistencies.
– I am besides glad that there was a anticipation straight at the cameras to bring out the president's reasons," he said. He recalled that Nawrocki is simply a debut in the function of President, so he deserves "competent information about the state of Polish affairs".
