NATO suspends its mission in Iraq

NATO associate States decided to suspend the training mission in Iraq (NATO Mission Iraq, NMI) and evacuate about 600 soldiers in connection with the conflict in the mediate East", reported Spanish radio Cadena SER on Thursday, citing military sources.

According to the radio, the decision to immediately retreat all NATO personnel from Iraq was taken unanimously by allies in connection with the US and Israel attack on Iran. The same military sources cited by Cadena SER ensured that "the suspension of the mission is temporary until the situation in the region is improved".
