NATO's 75th anniversary is simply a symbol of the importance of openness in the debate on defence alliances [ OPINION]

75 years of NATO has been behind us, of which since 1999 together with Poland as a associate State. The collective defence strategy project, built under conditions of post-war uncertainty and beginning with the full scale of the Cold War, faces further challenges today. **This underlines that NATO is simply a surviving structure, adapted respective times to the changing planet since 1949, not without mistakes and doubts, but at the same time founded on the hard foundations of a community of interests and values of transatlantic space.** In particular, the second is one more time contested, primarily from the position of simplified realistic analyses. However, with 32 associate States, any deficiency of values integrating their political and military relations would immediately be seen on the ground of NATO dysfunction. The same Alliance that passed through, passes through and will undergo many interior turbulence, which is simply a natural derivative of democracy and the relations of democratic states.
