Prime Minister Donald Tusk during his speech at the Warsaw safety Forum (organized by the highly pro-war Kazimierz Pulaski Foundation) announced that the war in Ukraine "is our common war, whether anyone likes it or not".
He besides hit the pathetic tone: "The war in Ukraine is only part of this ghastly project, whose goal is always the same – how to enslave nations, how to take freedom from individual people, how to do to triumph over authoritarianism, despots, cruelty, deficiency of human rights." It is not known what is more “awesome”, demagoguery and ideological bloating, or a carefree politician who puts the destiny of his country and nation on the line. There was not even a trace of concern in this speech about average people dying on the front, Russians and Ukrainians, there was no mention to the main thought Donald Trump – i.e. the fast conclusion of the war, which is essential for dialog with Russia. Without this, this war will never end. But there was a call to fight “to the end” due to the fact that “Ukraine can win this war.” What this triumph would mean – he did not specify.
Donald Tusk isn't the first time he scares, incites, dreams, and threatens. What's this for? Is it meant to occupy the minds of Poles, not what is most affecting them, is it meant to simply distract attention by sowing confusion and fear? According to the media in Poland, Russia is trying to make confusion and fear in EU countries. If that were true, then politicians like Donald Tusk, Kaja Kallas, Friedrich Merz or Ursula von der Leyen – they are zealous performers of this strategy. This is not the case, of course, due to the fact that the politicians mentioned, who are surrounded by war fever, are guided by another motives. Like what?
For them it is an ideological war, a conflict of Good with Evil, to be or not to be a "western civilization". They, most likely, truly believe that Russia's triumph is the end of their ideological project. This fear is due to uncertainty and increasing deficiency of religion in the alleged European integration, which is adequate of millions of Europeans who see the threat to their existence not in Moscow but in Brussels. Feared by this Brussels establishment, he grabs the rhetoric of war like a life raft to prevent it from falling.
