The guest of today's episode of the undercast Liberal Culture, co-created with the Gabriel Narutowicz Institute of Political Thought, is prof. Tomasz Nałęcz – historian, prof. of humanities, erstwhile Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, erstwhile advisor to president Bronisław Komorowski and expert of the past of the newest Poland.
The starting point for the conversation is his book “The Revolution of 1905. General effort to resurrect Poland". What precisely happened in 1905 in the Russian and Polish Kingdom? How do we realize the importance of labour protests, strikes and violent repression of the Tsar? Was the 1905 Revolution in Łódź just a local rave, or part of the larger wave that was the 1905 Revolution in Russia and the Russian partition?
Project co-financed by Gabriel Narutowicz Institute of Political Thought.
