The Communication from the Ministry of Digital Affairs stressed that "disinformation activity conducted in the Russian and Polish infosfera", which concerns sabotage on railway line No. 7 on the East Warsaw-Dorohusk route, has been observed since Sunday 16 November. Its key component is attempts to "discredit the activities of Polish safety services".
Increase of aggressive content on the Polish net after act of sabotage on railways
The Ministry emphasizes that between 16 and 18 November in the Polish-speaking net space the communicative of the act of diversion on the Warsaw–Lublin line rapidly developed. These themes were reinforced primarily by accounts active on the X platform and telegram channels of a pro-Russian and anti-Ukrainian character.
After the service confirmed that there was sabotage, the transmissions escalated. The communication indicated that the network began to dominate the entries "limiting Russia's work and directing accusations towards Ukraine", frequently with highly emotional language. The examples quoted in the Communication include, among others, "Ukrainian agentry works quickly. They want to block the transit from which Poland lives" or "The blowing of tracks is the work of Ukrainian terrorists".
In fresh hours there have besides been even more aggressive content, including the slogan "Poland and Russia together against Ukraine", which, as the Ministry of Digital Affairs emphasizes, are a classical component of Russian information operations. False reports were besides circulated that "German media warned the PKP of possible sabotage earlier". The Ministry considers that specified entries are intended to undermine the competence of the services and to build assurance in the secrecy of information.
In fresh hours there are besides statements about the alleged "Ukrainian terrorist attack", which, according to the ministry, confirms an effort at coordinated escalation.
Russian narratives about "internal tensions in Europe"
Propaganda messages are to dominate the thesis that the incidental is the effect of "deepening interior tensions in Europe" or action allegedly inspired by the "party of war" in the European Union.
The Russian net presents Poland as a state that provokes incidents to blame Russia and justify further military support for Ukraine. There are besides suggestions that "Polish guerrillas", anarchists, Western saboteurs or, as the pro-Russian channels repeat, European citizens themselves who are expected to be frustrated by the policies of their own governments.
Previous incidents aimed at infrastructure in Germany, France and the Czech Republic are besides recalled – they are expected to "confirm" that Europe is simply a victim of the chaos that it itself has caused, supporting Ukraine.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs indicates that the improvement of narratives was "in a way typical of disinformation campaigns": from neutral information, through authoritative communications, to the creation of alternate versions of events and direct accusations against Ukraine.
Ministry of Digitalism appeals to net users
The Ministry of Digitalism calls for caution and verification of messages appearing on the network, recalling that incorrect content is regularly identified and blocked.
