On Peter's Rock
A fishing hand, what nets in the lake threw,
Seeing the Lord, she abandoned everything.
You've become a stone for the foundation,
On you the Church rises, O saint!
You have accepted the keys, the binding power, the solutions,
And though you renounced yourself, Master, at boiling time
He, the merciful, has gladly forgiven you.
He strengthened his religion on his way to a good land.
He asked you for love at the time of the meeting,
When he showed up for breaking bread.
But his love, like a seal burning,
But again, with a gleam of hope in his soul,
So let us proceed in the faith, as Peter consistently encouraged,
On the Rock, which Christ himself sacrificed.
