Russian music and shot in the chest, or October concerts of San Francisco Symphony

One of the world's best orchestras, San Francisco Symphony, is presently facing serious problems. In order to remedy them, however, the board of institutions makes decisions which seem to be shot right into the heart of the city's musical life. 1 of the erstwhile members of the orchestra, Timothy Higgins, composed a customized part by the orchestra, which, by or by, is simply a musical metaphor of this situation.
