On Saturday, Republican Senator Mike Lee called for consideration of the U.S. withdrawal from NATO. On his channel X politician called the North Atlantic alliance "a relic of the Cold War". In his opinion, it is simply a "great deal for Europe", but "an unfair deal for America".
Lee presented in the legislature on Thursday the draft DEFUND Act - Disengaging Entirely from the United Nations Debacle (Complete withdrawal from the UN disaster), which assumes the U.S. immediately leaving UN structures.
The United States is 1 of the founding members of the UN and sits as 1 of the 5 permanent members of the UN safety Council. NATO brings together 32 associate States, 30 from Europe and the US and Canada.
