Five representatives of the Polish Army competed in the Olympic arena on Friday. They were the best in the world. Jan Guńka, who took 29th place in the biathlon sprinkling. In both disciplines in which the soldiers competed, the top were multimedia artists: Norwegian Johannes Høsflot Klæbo and Frenchman Quentin Fillon Maillet.

Three representatives of Poland besides competed in the historical run involving Klæbo. They were the best in the class. Dominic Bury, who ended the rivalry in 31st position. Until the top 30 he lacked only 0.1 p. The Central Military athletics squad runner ran 22 min 14.7 s, and a place in the top 30 took distant from him the nipponese Daito Yamazaki. The 56th place was taken by Sebastian Bryja, who lost 2 min. 38.4 pp to the winner. On the another hand, the 81st place was ranked by prof. Maciej Staręga – with Klæbo lost by 4 min. 30.9 p.
Valentine's Day starts
Tomorrow, 9 representatives of the Central Military Sports squad will compete at the XXV Winter Olympics. At noon, the competition of ski runners in the 4 x 7.5 km relay will begin. In the Polish team, they will run: St. Wier. spec. Izabela Marcisz, St. Wier. Monika Skinner, Aleksandra Kołodziej and Eliza Ruck-Michael. At 2:45 p.m., the start of biathlonists in a sprinkt is planned in Anterselvie for 7.5 km. Poland will be represented by 4 biathlonists of the “Army of Champions”: St. s. spec. Anna Mąka, st. Wier. Joanna Jakła, S.A. Specialist Kamila Żuk and S.A. Natalia Sidorowicz.
