The Ministry of Interior and Administration unambiguously answers questions about the future of the Polish-Belarusian border after the Russian-Belarusian maneuvers "Zapad 2025". A spokesperson for the Karolina Gałecka department stressed that the end of military exercises does not mean the automatic restoration of border traffic.
"We stress that the decision that has been made is related to Russian-Belarusian maneuvers Zapad 2025, which does not mean closing the border solely for the time of these exercises. The suspension of border traffic covers both directions and all modes of transport. On the night of 11 to 12 September, the last 2 open passages were closed: DK2 in Terespol for passenger traffic and DK68 in Kukuryka for freight traffic, both in Lublin Voivodeship. At the same time, 3 rail border crossings for freight traffic were closed: Kuźnica Białostocka-Grodno, Siemianówka-Swisłocz and Terespol-Brześć.
