MSPO 2026: Awards for WB Group

From fresh combat systems, through global sales to their presentation – WB GROUP ends XXXIV global Defence manufacture Salon with 4 awards. The most innovative and advanced method solutions, the pavilion in Kielce and the ability of the Polish entity to export defence equipment were distinguished.

Shown for the first time on MSPO 2026 an unmanned impact strategy GLADIUS 2 received the peculiar Award of the Minister of National Defence. On behalf of WB Łukasz Gomółka, the president of Flytronic, he received the discrimination from the Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka.

GLADIUS 2 distinguishes the characteristic plan of a flying wing with a tailless strategy without an isolated hull and a malfunction with reduced radar and thermal detection. Unmanned is simply a full Polish construction. All key components – from a composite airframe and onboard electronics to a turbojet engine – are produced in the country.

GLADIUS 2 has a modular design, allowing to scale the solution. In the form presented on MSPO, it can carry exchangeable battleheads weighing 30 kg to tactical and operational distance, with speeds exceeding respective 100 kilometres per hour. It takes off from the container or ground launcher utilizing a rocket auxiliary engine.

Unmanned GLADIUS 2 forms part of the constantly expanding multi-domain ecosystem of unmanned WB Groups. It retains full compatibility with solutions already implemented in the Armed Forces of Poland. The effector is integrated into the GLADIUS search and impact strategy and the TOPAZ combat management system, allowing its usage in the existing chain of recognition, command and destruction.

Special Award of the Minister of Finance and Economy
WB Group received the peculiar Award of the Minister of Finance and Economy for the best Polish arms exporter. Marcin Kubica, Managing manager of WB Group, received the award on behalf of the company.

The WB Group systems are present in respective twelve countries worldwide. The abroad markets were hit by a immense number of tens of thousands of FONET communication platforms, integrated TOPAZ combat management systems, the best-in-class FLYEYE unmanned systems, round-the-clock ammunition, tactical radio stations and another solutions.

Defender 2026
The unmanned water-based reconnaissance and impact unit STORMRIDER 850 was awarded the Defender 2026 award in Kielce this year. The statue was received on behalf of the Group of WB Bartłomiej Zając, president of RADMOR.

STORMRIDER 850 is simply a platform designed to operate at sea and coastal waters, both alone and jointly with manned vessels. The unit is equipped with navigation radar, sonar, echoprobe and optoelectronic head. The platform can be armed with a marine distant weapons module ZMU-05N and unmanned systems launchers WARMATE TL.

STORMRIDER 850 can act alone or as a support for the manned units of the Polish Navy. A akin script was presented in 2026 at the NATO Summit in Ankara. STORMRIDER 850 operated together with the frigate ORP Gen. T. Kościuszko, demonstrating the collaboration of innovative unmanned platforms with conventional naval forces.

STORMRIDER household units, along with the debut model 550 on MSPO, are a marine component forming part of the multi-domain revolution of the WB unmanned group. The platform combines reconnaissance and firing, extending the capacity to operate on diverse waters.

TOP DESIGN
In this year's set of WB Group trophies could not miss the TOP plan award. The pavilion of the Polish company one more time belonged to the most awesome and praised by participants of MSPO. The award for the best stand was received by Marta Łażewska, the marketing manager of the WB Group, together with Patricia Evruk.

This year's exposition was divided into 4 domains: sea, land, air and cognitive. Each of them received its own space, allowing to organize the presented systems and show their place in the WB's multi-domain architecture.

Interactive installations were an integral part of the pavilion. Wolves – WB GROUP symbol – displayed on the wall reacted to visitors' movement, and the interactive level modeled hazard detection by the AMSTA perimetric protection system.

The outer wall of the pavilion was filled with light installations referring to border infrastructure, with an vulnerability to the concept of Shield East. The full line was “Technology sovereignty. safety of Poland”, which set the motive for this year's presence of the WB Group on MSPO.
