Moscow is betting on the Taliban. ISIS-K changes the power strategy in the region

A visit by the Taliban defence minister to Moscow and a signed military-technical cooperation agreement show that Russia's relations with the Afghan authorities have entered a fresh phase. The Kremlin is increasingly treating the Taliban not as a problem, but as a partner in the fight against the threat of ISIS-K and building its own influence in Central Asia.
